Spoiled Sprinkles


 Can old cake and cookie decorations go bad?  Yes they can! I just had the not pleasant experience of tasting the answer to this question.  These particular decorations expired in the fall of 2019.  Wow, they expired pre-Covid pandemic. 😯 

This just made me ponder what I think is an interesting question.  I wonder what percentage of human food that is produced for human consumption is in fact consumed by human beings.

Fast Food

How fitting that my first real post for this blog is about fast food.  I know it has nothing to do with my kitchen but it is about food.  I’m here at Raising Cane’s while waiting for an oil change.  It beats just sitting in the waiting room at the shop, and I hadn’t eaten anything yet today.  As my aunt once said, “I would rather be fat and happy than not enjoy what I want to eat.”  Life is short.
